My memoir will answer the question of what the critical lesson is in relation to my identity and family. I chose to write about a seemingly insignificant moment in my life that caused me to contemplate how identity and family can evolve, specifically, how it is important to grow and learn more about the world so that others are not limited in their identity by stereotypes. In terms of family, I also learned that sometimes it is best to give people time to come around. The memoir specifically talks about when I wore shorts and got stares, and how that caused me to realize a bunch of stereotypes and argue with my mom on whether or not it was correct.
I hope that my audience sees how it is important to learn about the world around them so that they do not stereotype and limit other people, and so that they can also stay up to date on issues that they care about so that they can accordingly stand up for their rights. Readers of Narratively are open-minded because they are interested in reading diverse arguments on anything from culture, philosophy, or current events, from a vast array of personal stories. The audience is more liberal and educated, so my memoir will appeal to this audience who are on a similar journey to mine, being more curious about the world.

Diverse Reader Interests
Obstacles to writing my memoir as of now are making my experienced voice clear. I think that I have lots of introspection from my younger self, and I have introspection on what I currently think about the issue, but it is not obvious that the ending is what I think right now, so I will make that more clear.
